It will be an honor to be part of a group of overachieving students because it will inspire me to reach my goal. I will not stop from studying until I get a master’s degree or even a doctorate. – Alexandra

Aside from exploring colleges, traveling outside of California will allow me to get out of my comfort zone. Being able to talk to others in PSP will help with my public speaking. PSP will help me maintain the path that I want to follow and that my older siblings want for me. – Brandon

Having a mentor will teach me to talk about my ideas to other kids about things that are important to me. I was in elementary school at Moffett and I learned so many things about the seven habits of being a leader. My favorite is put first things first. I like to be responsible and not distract myself while I’m doing something important. The seven habits are important because you can be responsible and think ahead in your plans. – Elias

One thing I tried this school year was switching from dual language to only English language arts. I was scared and nervous but I am learning new things that I didn’t know about before. I am handling this situation with positivity because I know everything will go well as long as I keep trying my best.  – Fatima

One thing I really want is for my grandpa to watch me graduate college. He says he would like to know that I will be ok without him and he will be able to die without worries. That’s why I need this Program to help me get far in life. – Franky

When I am 30 years old, I want to be a teacher working in an elementary school. I love teaching my brother how to do math problems. Because of this experience, I know that I would like to become a teacher. I envision gaining more experience and eventually becoming a school principal. – Jorge

One person that has deeply affected me is my uncle. He has made me a better, stronger, and happier person. He made me this type of person by encouraging me, helping me out with my homework, and always being there for me. Since I was a baby he has been like another father to me. He wants me to be someone in life. – Liliana

I like working with others because I’m in the School of Engineering program and one has a team working together to make robots and 3D items. I feel that in the Partnership Scholars Program I can do the same thing. Work with other people to do really cool things or learning new techniques that will be awesome. – Sherlin
